Terol maintains Jerez 125cc pace

The second day of the Jerez Test offered the 125cc class the chance to make some real progress after day one was so badly affected by rain, and as conditions held throughout Saturday Nico Terol was able to set the fastest time of the day, and Test so far.
With a best lap of 1’48.382 set in the 125cc-only session in the afternoon, the Bankia Aspar rider ended the 55-minute run 0.072s ahead of second-placed Sandro Cortese (Intact Racing Team Germany). In third place with a time of 1’48.570, Maverick Viñales (PEV-Blusens-SMX Paris Hilton) was the third of only four riders to get under the 1’49” marker. Héctor Faubel (Bankia Aspar) had also done so in the combined session, and was seventh-quickest in the 125cc afternoon run.
The top five in the 125cc session was completed by Ajo Motorsport pair Efrén Vázquez and Johan Zarco, with Jonas Folger (Red Bull Ajo Motorsport), Faubel, Miguel Oliveira (Andalucía Banca Cívica), Luis Salom (RW Racing) and Danny Kent (Red Bull Ajo Motorsport) registering top-ten times in the session.
Giulian Pedone, who suffered a light concussion after his fall earlier in the day, was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure and did not ride. The Swiss rookie and his Phonica Racing team will decide on Sunday morning whether he will take part in the final day of the Test.
