Waters speaks about Phillip Island ride

Aussie star Josh Waters (22) will be campaigning a full spec Yoshimura GSX-R1000 at his home round at Phillip Island in February, and he has now had a chance to speak about his excitement at having been given such a high-profile and high quality opportunity on the world stage.
"I am so happy to be riding for Yoshimura Suzuki at Phillip Island," said the 2009 Australian SBK title winner. "I can't wait to ride the bike and will try very hard to come home with good results."
This will be Waters' first ever WSBK ride, and the collective memory cannot help but draw attention to the fact that a certain Troy Bayliss had his first ever WSBK rides as a wildcard Ansett Air Freight Suzuki rider, way back in 1997. On that occasion Bayliss took two fifth places, in a wet race one and a dry race two.
