Rizla Suzuki rider Álvaro Bautista and his Crew Chief Tom O'Kane are the focus of the latest motogp.com feature as the duo discuss the set-up of the GSV-R for this weekend's Iveco Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island.
With it's fast nature and only two hard braking areas O'Kane explains the precise demands placed on the bike by the circuit, and talks about the importance being placed on weight balance and transfer in keeping the front of the machine loaded. Of course the weather conditions have already played a role so far this weekend and the Irishman also touches on this consideration.
Meanwhile Bautista talks about his first experience on an 800cc machine at the circuit, on which he has taken podium finishes in both the 125cc and 250cc classes in previous seasons. The premier class rookie also discusses how his confidence has grown throughout his debut MotoGP season and assesses his prospects for this weekend.
