The MotoGP season began over the weekend, which means that Day of Champions is just around the corner. Held on Thursday 9th June at Silverstone, before the AirAsia British Grand Prix, Day of Champions is the only way to start your MotoGP weekend.
For fans of motorcycle racing it is a highlight of the season and, most importantly, all of the money raised makes a huge difference to Riders’ lifesaving work in Africa.
Day of Champions returns to Silverstone this year where, once again, you will be able to experience behind the scenes of the world’s premier motorcycle racing series. All of the stars from the sport come together on stage to support the official charity of MotoGP at the Riders for Health auction.
If you are planning on bringing your motorcycle along for the day, why not take part in a ride-in to the Silverstone? Leaving from the Heritage Motor Centre motor museum in Gaydon, you and your fellow bikers will ride in convoy before completing two laps of the famous circuit. It is always spectacular to see and hear the parade of bikes as they arrive at the circuit.
Last year, Day of Champions raised an incredible total of nearly £160,000. This has helped Riders to mobilise health workers with motorcycles so that they can deliver vital health care to over 10 million people living in isolated rural communities.
