International flavour continues in Moto2 and 125cc

The MotoGP World Championship will be a truly international affair once again in 2011, none more so than in the Moto2 and 125cc classes. A total of 22 countries will be represented across the two categories when the riders arrive in Qatar next week, for the opening round of the season.
In the Moto2 class Spain and Italy will again enjoy a strong presence, with Switzerland, Britain and Germany each having three riders flying their respective flags. In 2011 Turkey will enjoy a full-time representative in the form of Kenan Sofuoglu, whilst Colombia will have brothers Yonny and Santiago Hernández. Thailand will once again follow the progress of Ratthapark Wilairot, Venezuela that of Robertino Pietri and Qatari rider Mashel Al Naimi will enter his second season in the World Championship. Belgium (Xavier Simeon), USA (Kenny Noyes) and Australia (Anthony West) will all also be keenly watching the Moto2 class this year.
The 125cc category will also be an international affair with Portuguese rookie Miguel Oliveira, Dutchman Jasper Iwema, Czech talent Jakub Kornfeil and Malaysian prospect Zulfahmi Khairuddin all in action.
Additionally, India will enjoy an entrance into the World Championship this year as well. As well as Mahindra Racing being the first Indian team, Sarath Kumar will also be the first Indian rider to compete in the World Championship as he tackles the 125cc category with the WTR-Ten10 Racing team.
In total there will be 22 nationalities across both classes in 2011, as the World Championship heads into its 62nd year.
